Planning Discussion
We will work together from the initial concept to the final product, communicating throughout the design journey to ensure your ideas are fully realised. The first stage is the planning discussion - here we address questions such as: what do you want your website to do? How do you want it to look? How will the user interact with it? What are the desired outcomes? From here, we will sketch out a storyboard and progress to the next steps of design.
Development & Design
Once we have a plan of attack established, we will get to work on creating the basic structure of the site. This will not look pretty yet, but will become the framework for the final product. This begins with ensuring all the required pages are set up, all the links and forms go to the right places, and the base website works functionally as it should. From here, the basic branding and theme is developed and the next stage of your website development can commence.
Content Upload
Now we have the basic site skeleton in place, it is time to add your content such as imagery and copy. At this stage your website really starts to come alive - it becomes nearer the final product as more content is added and more tweaks are made. Sometimes it is just a minor move here and there, other times it could be changing an element in the whole theme to better suit your content. Everything should now be looking shiny, we can progress to testing.
Testing & Training
Once you are happy with the content and design, we will give it a thorough test. Every page and every link is tested throughout the site to ensure it is all working as it should. When all parties are satisfied, it’s time to go live and we will walk you through the process of making minor edits and adjustments to give you the freedom to do your own tweaks as required. For anything more substantial, we can be on hand to discuss the best way forward.
